Uh oh. The number of Kinder Bueno bars chilling innocently in the fridge is slowly diminishing…4…3…If I were to stop here that wouldn’t be so bad for an evening’s consumption but don’t stop me now…2 is sitting in it’s wrapper in the fridge & I’m off to get it……
Got it, gobbled it & 2 became 1 tempting Kinder Bueno bar sitting in the fridge. “Kuchisabishi?” Lonely Mouth! What else?
At the suggestion of friends…since I was complaining about spending a small fortune on ‘treats’ in the vending machine downstairs, which, to the detriment of both my bank balance & my body fat ratio, accepts card payments…I stocked up on a few munchies at the supermarket.
Bad idea. I knew it was a bad idea but I gave it a go because I reckoned something had to give…my growing waistline or my shrinking bank balance. It’s simple common sense not to fill your fridge with junk if you want to eat healthily & stay in shape or lose a few, as I do. What I don’t want is to eat any more Kinder Buenos…except there’s one left in my fridge.
I have a confession to make. “Kuchisabishii’ usually takes over when I am: a) alone & b) stoned.
Indeed I’ve been indulging in marijuana since I was a young teen – makes me feel alriiight but hell it excites my appetite! If I’m not under the influence, that vending machine cannot get the better of me. I can walk straight past it with my nose in the air. Except all too often I’ve had a puff & I’m feeling peckish.
Believe it or not, fasting is my forte when I’m not on a munch. Daily intermittent fasting of 16-20 hours, no problem. One or maybe 2 meals a day – plus treats if “Kuchisabishii” strikes – within perhaps a 6 hour window. I swear by fasting for detox & weight management. Despite my all too frequent munchies, the weighing scales tells me I’m doing ok.
Back to that Kinder Bueno sitting in the fridge. I had forgotten it for all of 5 minutes as I digressed in the last couple of paragraphs. I know, I’ll go brush my teeth. Why don’t I treat my tastebuds to the taste of minty freshness & let that be it for this evening?
Ah, all brushed & flossed & fresh & feeling in control. Where did the last hour go?? It’s a quarter past midnight all of a sudden & about time I called it a night. “Kuchisabishii” you lose, I shall no longer succumb to you!
