Moon Man’s departure date is imminent. He is reckoning I am scheduling all sorts to entertain myself in his absence. He reckons correctly, for I plan to make the utmost of the time I will have on my hands.
No, I will not be out riding every Colm, Mick or Larry who crosses my path…as Moon Man fears. Those days are definitely over. No more knocking on the devil’s door, looking for a dance. Out of respect for myself & for Moon Man, his time spent on the moon promises to be a chaste spell for me.
For a dozen days there are so many other ways in which I can be entertaining myself besides cheating on my beloved. “Yes, you will cheat on me!” He insists repeatedly. Is he joking or what? I am refusing to allow his words become a self-fulfilling prophecy, which I did once upon a time, to my deepest remorse…as confessed in a previous post.
First things first I have lined up an online course called ‘Ecstatic Breathwork’ with a crowd called Commune. All will be revealed in due course. They also have a course available called ‘5 Keys To Immunity’. I’ll be jumping on that bandwagon too. And finally from Commune, ‘The Chill Pill’…5 days of yin yoga & more breathwork, bliss!
On my most recent visit to the library in Rathmines, I nabbed an interesting looking novel in the young adult section. My estranged daughter got me firmly hooked on teen fiction before simply & so sadly ghosting me back in 2019. ‘Beauty Sleep’ is the name of the title that grabbed me. “Sleeping Beauty with a Black Mirror twist,” goes the blurb on the front cover. Sold! Well…borrowed. That should keep me entertained & out of trouble of many an autumn evening I’m sure.
Of course there’s also my daily yoga practice, perhaps twice daily when time & energy permit. My latest yoga challenges are the mastery of Flying Crow pose & also handstand, once again under the online guidance of Commune.
And bloggedy blog blog blog…I am not committing to publishing a post every day, for I am a great believer in quality over quantity but I aim to muster up at least cúpla focail on my keyboard everyday, for a change!
As if I wasn’t planning on enough time spent online already, I also have Spanish & French lessons to keep up with on DuoLingo. I’m at intermediate level in both languages but tend to spend much more time doing Spanish lessons, probably because unlike French, it wasn’t a subject of mine in school or college so it feels more playful to me.
See? I’ll be on my best behaviour by all accounts!
“Life is what happens while we’re busy making other plans,” said John Lennon. So let’s see what life has to throw at me in the course of the next fortnight…be keeping you posted!
