Life is like a circus in a big top

I want to pause but it will not stop.

Time passes by, there’s no time like now

I get it, I feel it, I know it somehow.

There’s a match on the tele, it grabs my attention

But my racing thoughts are too many to mention.

I swig on my beer & swallow a mouthful

An early night is looking doubtful.

Sure enough we hit the tiles

Pints akimbo, laughs & smiles!
