On Summer

Summer waxes, summer wanes

Summer is waxing on today.

Lazing in the afternoon

I chill & let my music play.

July has taken the reins from June

The weeks fly by so fast…

I count my blessings silently

And pray fine weather will last.

When evening comes I’ll rise & shine

With plans to hit the town…

Nothing wild, a civilized bite

No parties going down.
