A Pep In My Step

Zigzagging across the City Centre

Over & back, an all-day adventure

Lunch at midday then back to base

Off again, to my psychologist’s place.

Thoroughly enjoying the fine weather

And couldn’t possibly be feeling better

A pep in my step with summer on its way

My legs feel like jelly by the end of the day.

So I put my feet up & turn the tunes on

Drink coffee after coffee, until a fourth is gone

The caffeine kicks in & I soon hit the roof

Quite overwhelming, to tell you the truth.

My neighbour Benny calls to the rescue

Wielding the makings, as I rolled I thought, bless you!

We had a nice toke out the upstairs window

Caffeine times cannabis, fast then slow.

Now I am thoroughly intoxicated

An evening of feeling perfectly elated

I am on a mission to have a good time

And encapsulate some of these fun times in rhyme.
