Melting in the sun, talk of solar flares
Down Moore Street, hawkers selling their wares
Across the river to Temple Bar
Feeling exhausted, although it’s not that far.
Coffee & bagel in the shade
Despite the caffeine, I continue to fade
Meet my mate Joe, we hit the park
Where is my mojo, where is my spark?
We bask in the sun, it feels so damn hot
All I’m fit to do is laugh a lot
Surrounded by revelers enjoying the heat
We take a stroll down South William Street.
There’s a table for two, we stop for a bite
At Smokin’ Bones, a carnivore’s delight
Bellies full, we roll across town
Homeward bound, nothing going down.
