Cupid & Psyche I have played
It was hard work but at least I got paid
Cupid held Psyche, although there was only me
Holding on for an eternity…
After each half an hour a change of pose
Nude modelling, no need to change my clothes
The artists were students of NCAD
Their finished pieces, I did not see……
It was perhaps the hardest job I’ve ever done
But I was working up a sweat & having lots of fun
These days I am drawing & I don’t command a fee
Professional to the hilt, just not mercenary you see.
