I struggle to get out of bed, Saturday is here
To the dining room for breakfast, everyone is full of weekend cheer
The usual for me, I have Weetabix with honey
It’s Paddy’s weekend & the weather’s fine & sunny.
A coffee & a smoke, then I wash & dress
I’m right on time, no rushing, no stress
To Saturday Write Club, we’re in for quite a jam
Preparing teens for their upcoming story slam.
We spend some time writing & then we share
The stories are brilliant, these kids write with such flair
Some write in rhyme, others in prose
Yes, they’ve got talent & it really shows!
