The Paddy’s Day Parade will march straight by my gaf
From the upstairs windows, we’ll watch & have a laugh
Green, white & gold are the colours of the day
Please God, keep the rain away.
It’s cool & it’s cloudy & the wind’s whipping up
The World & her mother will be out to have a sup
But I’ll just be chilling, not going on the piss
If the parade didn’t pass my house, I’d give it a miss.
It’s older I’m getting, my birthday is next week
Older & bolder & on quite a blogging streak
