Detention

Darkening mornings are on their way

Nothing like sunrise to start the day

I find myself in psychiatric detention

Getting much too much psychiatric medication.

Medication time 4 times a day

For my shrink there is no other way

Lithium is his final solution

Meanwhile I’m dosed up on Ibuprofen.

Nothing lasts forever so I’m giving it a go

Been there, done that, felt the low

Why can’t I be left to fly & be free?

This psychiatric lark is no good for me!
