I’m working on a canvas, it’s very big & round
Nothing to see so far, just a yellow wash background.
So while I’m watching paint dry, I thought I’d write a rhyme
I’ve got my work cut out for me, this painting will take time.
It’s a landscape in the making: mountains, a river & trees
A summery scene with looming blooms for the eye to please.
Yes, I’ll keep ye posted, as I so often do
For now, time for some drawing atop the yellow hue.
