Today we celebrated the birthday of my nephew
16 years of age now, how the years flew
Time flies when you’re having fun, yes that is true
So we toasted him & feasted the afternoon through.
My sister is truly the hostess with the mostess
We crowded her kitchen & made quite the mess
She cooked up a storm & was proud of her progress
The kids helped her out, she was delighted to confess.
We wound down in the evening & hugged our goodbyes
Wind blowing, rain pouring down forth from the skies
A change in the weather, as temperatures rise
One supersweet Sunday, a birthday surprise.
