Skip across town under my umbrella
Dreaming happily of my favourite fella
Never ending rain can’t dampen my parade
With my head in the clouds through puddles I wade.
Splish splash, must dash, just missed the Luas
Sit back, relax, stressing is no use
And so I begin to rhyme, as I wait for the next tram
Which arrives in good time, so who gives a damn?
Pitter, patter raindrops, drumming from the sky
Melting icecaps on the fly
Make my appointment on the dot
Then have brunch, that hits the spot.
On my return I have hours to chill
Feet up, smoke up, do exactly as I will
Which is very little, for rest is required
My mind is alert but my body is tired.
